Project Coordinator - DC Area Health Education Center at Georgetown University Medical Center 

The DC Area Health Education Center Project Coordinator position provides a significant contribution to all AHEC project activities, including curricular planning, student and faculty schedules, meetings, research, learner evaluation, production of scholarly products, and coordination and management of virtual communities. DC AHEC is focused on providing student scholarships, mentorship, didactics in AHEC core topic areas, and clinical and community-based experiences in underserved areas. The Project Coordinator provides assistance for related faculty, resident and student research projects, and supports research infrastructure and capacity building activities for the AHEC Project for the Department of Family Medicine. The coordinator will serve as the primary project director for multiple on-going AHEC-based evaluations and educational research projects in all phases of development and implementation, including supervision of work-study students and medical school, graduate and undergraduate student interns and AHEC scholars. Additionally, the position will contribute to research design, IRB applications and processing, data analysis, and dissemination of study results. The Project Coordinator will manage online activities for the program, including website development and social media presence. The Project Coordinator supports the Principal Investigator/AHEC Director, AHEC Research Director, Primary Care Leadership Track Director, AHEC and track-related course directors, HRSA Research Associate, and Department Administrator. This role will serve in a collaborative team support capacity for the department’s administrative team.
