1. From the Executive Director's Desk
"Health Reform Hits Main Street"
This YouTube video from the Kaiser Family Foundation is a little old. Perhaps some of you have seen it (I had not; thanks to Kristina Fjeld from the NH AHEC for sharing with me). However, in light of our efforts to demonstrate how the AHEC Program can help support certain components of the Affordable Care Act, I thought I would share it, as it may help a little in understanding the new law as well as sharing information with others. The video was created prior to the Supreme Court ruling last summer, but is quite salient and provides a good overview of the ACA. It's worth a look. Click here to see it.

Additional resources regarding the ACA from the Kaiser Family Foundation are available. I believe I shared this previously, but it's worth another look. Click here to see it.

As a reminder, once the document that outlines how AHECs are playing a role with ACA implementation is complete, we'll make sure to share with you all either in this space or via the NAO website.

NAO Website
Please be sure to check out the NAO website periodically. There's always some new content and it is a good source of information. Recent additions to the site include an announcement regarding the NAO Spring 2013 Conference and a retirement letter from Lou Coccodrilli, Chief of the AHEC Branch at HRSA until his retirement on January 3, 2013.

NAO Spring Conference
The NAO Spring Conference will be taking place from April 9-12, 2013 at the Sheraton Crystal City in Arlington, VA. Please watch your e-mail for registration and meeting agenda information.

Have a great week and stay warm!
Rob
